The Admin Dashboard is your go-to tool for tracking your team's usage across Foundation projects, as well as monitoring your existing subscription. Whether you're keeping an eye on overall usage, managing limits proactively, or referencing your contract, this dashboard gives you visibility and control.
What you can see in the Admin Dashboard
The Admin Dashboard is designed to help Admins stay on top of usage trends and account limits. To access the dashboard, Admins may click on their initials in the top right corner of the page they are viewing in 4M to see the navigation dropdown. Select "Admin Dashboard."
Once in the dashboard, here’s what you can do:
Overview: This main tab gives an overview of active users, projects created, and consumption. You may also see which users have used the CAD or GIS downloads, if that is available in your current contract.
Users: Click this tab to dive into who is using 4M most on your team, and how. You can see total users, and how many project have been created month over month, or by role or department.
Projects: View how many projects have been created in your current contract, and analyze consumption patterns to anticipate future needs to optimize how your team uses data.
Contract: Click on Contract in the menu left of the dashboard to see the details of your current contract. You can also view which states are available for your team to create projects, and the add-on features that are active on your account.
Monitor Project Usage by Setting Threshold Alerts in the Admin Dashboard
Admins can proactively monitor usage by configuring threshold alerts. To do so, navigate to the Contract tab and click "Set limits" in the Data Consumption section to alert yourself when your account is approaching your allotted consumption levels.
Once the threshold is reached, an automatic email alert is sent to the Admin. This gives teams the chance to evaluate usage and, if needed, reach out to their Customer Success Manager to expand their limit.
What Happens When You Hit the Limit?
If your organization reaches the total number of segments or linear miles allowed under your current account plan:
Admins will receive a pop-up in the app and email notifying them that the limit has been reached. They will also see a notification whenever they view the Admin Dashboard.
All users attempting to create a new project will see a message explaining that the organization has reached its usage cap.
Users can then:
Reach out to Customer Success to upgrade your plan and continue creating projects.
View a utility heat map of the area at no cost. In this limited version, you can see the utility density within the project area using the visual scale. There are no lines, objects, or owners in this free version of the project.
Need More Projects?
Your Customer Success Manager is always available to help expand your usage as your needs grow. Don't hesitate to reach out.
